At Life Care we understand that ageing is a natural part of living. We provide highly trained people, excellent facilities and services to support quality of life for older South Australians.
Our purpose is to partner with people to embrace life and "Live Every Day"
We have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team of Allied Health professionals working full-time at Life Care Glenrose Court (Glen Osmond).
The Occupational Therapist will work within both our Residential Aged Care Homes and within the community to provide assessment, implement strategies and conduct treatments, contributing to the overall wellbeing of our residents and clients, and liaising with the broader multidisciplinary team.
Within the community environment the Occupational Therapist will be responsible for conducting home safety assessments and supporting clients who have transitional care programs, as well as generally supporting our home care clients to maintain independence.
Within the residential environment the focus is on mobility and risk assessment, falls prevention, pain management and treatment, and active contribution to the broader multi-disciplinary team.
This role will also encompass staff manual handling assessment and coaching, so those with interest and/or experience with manual handling training will be highly regarded.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with both residential and home assessment experience and a demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
You must be registered with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team environment would be highly advantageous. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member who possesses effective interpersonal skills and will demonstrate a proactive approach to service review and development.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a great team and be an integral part of Life Care's future direction.
