Parkrose Village is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced  Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years clinical and staff management experience to join the existing team. We are seeking a flexible individual who would be available for a variety of shifts over a 7 day roster. This role will initially be casual, with opportunity to work at other Life Care locations, if required, to secure additional hours.


As a Registered Nurse with Life Care you will be responsible for the management of the facility after hours, offering your clinical expertise and ensuring optimal resident focused care.


Your capacity for excellent time management, coupled with your flexibility and experience, will ensure you prioritise to meet the changing requirements of the aged care environment.


The person we are seeking will:

  • have current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • establish and build cohesive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • foster a friendly and productive team environment
  • demonstrate sound understanding of aged care legislation
  • possess excellent clinical, assessment and documentation skills
  • have proven ability to coordinate and manage a team
  • be able to independently manage the facility after hours and effectively respond to any incidents that arise

Skills and attributes that will be highly regarded include:

  • demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
  • sound understanding of the ACFI and related assessment and documentation processes 
  • experience working in an in-charge capacity
  • experience using electronic medication management and clinical documentation systems
