In accordance with our 'Life Care Way' the Enrolled Nurse is responsible for  for assisting 'people in our service' through actively creating and promoting an environment that will enhance each persons life experience.

 

Whether providing support through clinical assessment, administration of medication, wound management, palliative care, or responding to clinical incidents, the Enrolled Nurse role is pivotal to our overall provision of services at Reynella Lodge.

 

 

The Enrolled Nurse we are looking for will:

  • be an enthusiastic team player who builds cohesive work relationships and engages readily with a broad range of stakeholders
  • have  genuine compassion and empathy for the aged, and sound understanding of the ageing process
  • possess good clinical skills, particularly in relation to general assessment, medication administration and wound management
  • be confident in the provision of general nursing care and supporting the end stage palliative process
  • have sound clinical documentation and good I.T. skills
  • possess excellent communication and people skills
  • be committed to provision of services within Life Cares' House Model framework
  • demonstrate commitment to safe work practices,  through adherence to all Life Care policies and overarching WH&S legislation
  • hold current Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA

 

Additional attributes that will be highly regarded include:

  • experience within the Residential Aged Care environment
  • 2 years or more experience as an Enrolled Nurse
  • a sound understanding of the ACFI and associated assessment processes
  • experience providing support to individuals with cognitive impairment
  • flexibility to work am and pm shifts over a 7 day roster
